DESKRIPSI PELATIHAN BASIC PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC)
A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or programmable controller is a digital computer used for automation of electromechanical processes, such as control of machinery on factory assembly lines, amusement rides, or lighting fixtures. PLCs are used in many industries and machines, such as packaging and semiconductor machines. Unlike general-purpose computers, the PLC is designed for multiple inputs and output arrangements, extended temperature ranges, immunity to electrical noise, and resistance to vibration and impact. Programs to control machine operation are typically stored in battery-backed or non-volatile memory. A PLC is an example of a real time system since output results must be produced in response to input conditions within a bounded time, otherwise unintended operation will result.
OBJECTIVES PELATIHAN BASIC PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC)
This course is designed to improve participant’s knowledge and skill about the use of PLC for automation system in Industry. This training will be emphasized to the technique of program design, debug, simulation and wiring system with PLC based. Participants will also learn about I/O equipment’s election and also the utilization of several particular functions such as timer, counter, arithmetic operations and control. Participants could also discuss with Instructor about several application programs and tools I/O wiring.

Apip Badaruddin, ST, MT.
He held his master degree in Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and has developed his skill and knowledge by following course inside and outside Indonesia, such as Hydrocarbon Refrigeration, Ecozone BV in The Netherlands. His core of competency is in refrigeration and has been practicing it as a lecturer in State Polytechnic of Bandung for more than 14 years. For the last two years, he has been lecturing 1 & 2 Applied Refrigeration. From 1996 until 2006, he also actively participated in a professional activity: Training, Installation, and refinement of Refrigerator machine.
Ir. Muhammad Arman, S.Psi.
In 1994, he graduated from Physics Engineering Department of ITB majoring in Instrument. To expert his study, he followed International Course on Hydrocarbon Refrigeration in Harlem, The Netherlands. Besides, he also broadened his knowledge of psychology in Padjadjaran University and graduated in 1997.
He started his carrier at PT. Alam Risindo Agung, Environmental Engineering Consultant, Jakarta, as a Junior Field Engineer. Thereupon, he entered State Polytechnic of Bandung, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Department as a Lecturer until now on. He is a PLC specialist, design, implementation and evaluation several PLC project for industry. He also conduct many short term and mid term training in instrument, control, PLC, computer communication, microprocessor for company such as PT. Pertamina, PT. Suzuki Indomobil, PT. Frisian Flag Indonesia, PDAM Banjarmasin, Thames PAM Jaya, etc.
